Job Title

SYSTEM ENGINEER

Primary functions

  • ​Handles turn-key, large and special projects and do the required presales tasks
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends optimum solutions, ensuring appropriate support for the proposed architecture
  • Opportunistically  pursues  additional  business  development  opportunities  within  customer  firms,  ensures  these opportunities are effectively covered and followed by the sales team.
  • Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the Product and Sales teams to potential risks of deal closure.
  • Provides trainings to Resellers and End-Users when needed.
  • If required, acts as a Project Manager for each deal to ensure the final solution is delivered towards customer’s expectation and initial proposals
  • Follows and shares market technological needs and evolution with the sales team.
  • Help sales team to identify and create architecture roadmaps to customers as a next-sell strategy.
  • Technical Representative on Vendor Engagements through regular update and sync-up meeting.
  • Assist and help the post-sales team in some activities needed to deliver and close any projects, support and other post- sales task.
  • Design and implement network infrastructures to best fit customer security requirements and timeline
  • Attend and lead the technical kick-off meeting to set customer expectations and can evaluate any concerns
  • Ensure accuracy of daily report on all open and closed tickets for submission to supervisor.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining adherence to organization and professional standards.
  • Respond to the Help Desk by phone, e-mail and automated system alerts using ticketing system.
  • Secondary resource in providing solutions and defined security requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Provide Technical trainings (Internally/Partners/End Users)
  • Must pass all certification exams that may be required by the company on the products that will be supported
  • Provide Post and Pre-Sales Technical support that includes:
            o Meetings or consulting
​            o Secondary pre-sales resource in creation of BOM recommendation, TOR response, Product presentation and sizing
            o Infrastructure Integration
            o Knowledge transfer
            o Maintenance Support (Preventive Maintenance, Upgrades and Updates)
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering/Computer Engineering, Information technology or equivalent Experience
  • With at least 2 to 3 years of working experience on the same environment.
  • CCNA Certificate or any equivalent is an advantage
  • Candidates need creativity to imagine innovative, effective new solutions and designs.
  • Logic and reasoning are important when troubleshooting difficult issues.
  • Candidates must be able to develop solutions to problems, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time.
  • Understanding and appropriately responding to feedback is an important aspect of this position.
  • Calculus, trigonometry and other advanced math skills are commonly used in analysis and design.
  • Both oral and written communication skills are vital to relaying important information, training new staff members and communicating about solutions to complex problems.
  • Good background in cloud technologies.
